San Nicolò Ring

- Area Bardineto
Short loop on the edge of town, with not excessive gradients, suitable for everyone, giving a small taste of Bardineto's woods and history.
The route is ideal for those who have little time and want to take a short hike. After an initial stretch on asphalt in the locality of Ruggia, you enter a dirt road that slowly gains altitude. Passing through chestnut and hazelnut woods, you arrive on the ridge in the locality of Nicampi, where you can take a short break in the Consortium's equipped rest area. Here you leave the road and enter a path flush with the ridge marked by the signs Balzi Rossi, BeActive and communal path 3. Once you reach the ridge of Mount Maglione you begin to descend until you reach the little church of San Nicolò, one of the most characteristic places in Bardineto: the little church can be visited by reservation. A short stretch leads to the Fons Salutis of San Nicolò. The descent ends with the ford of the Rio San Giovanni on a footbridge that allows you to return to the village, ending the tour.
