A walk towards the trail of remembrance
The hike starts from the car park immediately after the church and goes up to the alleyway, via B. Ferro. It is worth checking out this incredibly old, rural village and its little gems, such as a beautiful six-sided stone house.Pass by a votive shrine and go up a steep slope. Walk under a bridge, at the end of which you turn left and take the uphill road marked "Trail of Partisan Remembrance" that crosses fields full of vineyards, fruit trees, and wild plants that people use to make delicious dishes.
Once in Villanova, where the paved road ends, go into the woods and continue straight on. Careful not to take the only turn to the right that leads to Nuxetta. Further on, you will find the crossroads marked with yellow dots, which leads to Bruno Ferro’s memorial stone.
The view from here is quite amazing and the gaze reaches Rocca dei Corvi and Monte Alto. You can easily walk up to the “teccio” where you can stop for a snack and even stay overnight. From here, you can also continue on and get to the Tagliate di Quiliano.
